Yitong Manchu museum is located at 1129 Renmin Road, Yitong Town, Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, covering an area of 10000 square meters, with a building area of 5800 square meters, five floors of the main building and an antique building.
Yitong Manchu museum is a comprehensive museum that integrates collection, exhibition, research, public education and cultural exchange, with Manchu history and folk heritage as the main exhibition contents. There are seven parts of Manchu origin, production, life, culture, etiquette, belief and ancient and modern Yitong in the museum. There are 630 kinds of cultural relics in the museum, nearly 5000 of which are displayed in various forms, such as photos, charts, models, etc. to comprehensively, systematically and accurately show the long history, splendid culture and unique folk customs of Manchu.
Yitong Manchu Autonomous museum was founded in June 1986, when it was called Yitong Manchu Autonomous County folk museum. The meeting room on the fourth floor of the County Federation of trade unions (150 square meters) was temporarily used as the museum to display 320 kinds of 1834 pieces of Manchu heritage. It was opened to the public on June 25, 1987, and was strongly supported by the cadres and the masses.
In 1988, the county government decided to re arrange the exhibition, rented the office building of the County Association for science and Technology (200 square meters) as the exhibition hall, invested 100000 yuan, decorated the exhibition room, made Exhibition cabinets, exhibition tables, screens and other cultural relics display facilities.
In September 1990, in order to meet the needs of social development, the county Party committee decided to build a new exhibition hall. The investment is 1.05 million yuan, covering an area of 300 square meters and a building area of 1350 square meters. It was completed on August 24, 1992. The design of the exhibition hall is novel. It has six towers, five main floors and three matching floors. It is an antique building, a Diaolianghuadong, a yellow glazed tile, elegant and unique, with a strong national architectural style. The name of the museum is inscribed by Mr. Pu Jie, vice chairman of the National Committee of the National People's Congress, and Mr. Qigong, Professor of Beijing Normal University and chairman of China Calligrapher Association. More than 200000 yuan was invested to decorate the exhibition hall and make exhibition equipment. Art forms such as cultural relics, pictures, charts, models and sand tables are used for exhibition.
